Spotlight - WOMENSPIRE Founder - Sukanya Saleem Ms. Sukanya Saleem is the dynamic founder of WOMENSPIRE a new platform that brings together women from all walks of life to nurture, enrich and support each other.

As the brain behind Womenspire, Sukanya roped in her friends; Annie, Sulakshana, Marisa and Pooja - most them working mothers - as Co-founders and are the organizing committee of the monthly events. They are currently based in the city of Chennai, India and hope to establish chapters in other cities as well.

In her own words, Sukanya states, "Once a month we create an opportunity to meet and celebrate Women, where we bring in speakers who have pursued their interests, realized their dreams and created an identity for themselves. These events are followed with a networking session where real conversations and thoughts are exchanged. Women who gather are from myriad walks of life –professionals, working women, home makers, writers, artists, entrepreneurs.

Womenspire is dedicated to support, encourage, empower, inspire, nurture and build a network of like-minded women, which will not only enrich the soul but also strengthen our community at large. Many women today are simply too busy wearing so many hats, that their only human contact is in the form of emails and phone conversations. Since we all have a basic need for connection, it seemed like such a natural thing to create a space for women to meet other women for ideas, guidance, support and even friendship. We want to be able to help women who seek balance in all facets of life.

We are also open to Volunteers & ambassadors who want to be part of Womenspire in different capacities. We are also collaborating with other like-minded organizations to enrich, support and exchange ideas to take it to the next level."
